Bronze Age• In fact a little further to the north-west this track is cut by a Bronze Ageditch.• A burial with a Bronze Ageurn was found at Garreallabus half way up the loch.• This was an infinitely old notion, going back to the early Bronze Age.• The eruption buried the Late Bronze Agetown of Akrotiri on the island and there were also marked effects on islands nearby.• Just because a road runs past a group of Bronze Age burial mounds does not mean that it is prehistoric.• The presence of Bronze Agetumuli and neolithic trackways shows that the relationship between people and this landscape is incredibly ancient.• The aurochs are thought to have been hunted to extinction in Britain during the Bronze Age.• This particular part of the excavations is concentrating on the Bronze Age and IronAgelevels.
