5 GRAMMAR 语法
Use there is/are to say that something exists or happens. There cannot be left out. 表示某事存在或发生用there is/are，there不能省略
There is one exception.(NOT Is one exception).

When the noun is plural, use there are/were , even when using ‘a lot of’ before it. 名词为复数时，用there are/were，即使它前面用了a lot of

Do not confuse there with the possessive determiner their . 不要将there和所有格限定词their混淆:
They love their jobs.

n Grammar
You use there are before a plural noun:
There are a lot of problems.
✗Don’t say: There is a lot of problems. You will sometimes hear native speakers say this is in informal conversation, but it is grammatically incorrect.
Instead of saying there is, you often say there’s:
There’s one small problem.
There cannot be omitted. ✗Don’t say: Is one small problem.
n USAGE: Spelling
Don’t confuse there and their. You write:
They love their jobs.
