NOTE 辨析 Moral or ethical? Moral is used especially to talk about the behaviour and standards of individual people in their daily lives. It is particularly concerned with people's duties and feelings: collocates include duty, obligation, imperative, sense, indignation, outrage, panic and courage. Ethical is usually used to talk about the principles and practices of people in a particular profession or area of work, or of society generally. It can sound more formal and less forceful than moral, and is concerned with issues rather than duties or feelings: collocates include guideline, criterion and proposition.
